A new activity group that was launched a couple of years ago by purchasing a set of New Age Kurling stones. The game is designed for able-bodied and those with mobility problems. It is played indoors on a smooth surface using stones on ball bearings and comes with pushers for those unable to bend and a slide for those who need to sit or are in wheelchair.
Because of its popularity it has been arranged to hold a meeting on the first Tuesday of the month at 2:00pm and on the fourth Wednesday every month at 7:30pm in the Methodist Church, Station Road. So far over 25 members and guests have played and others are interested.
