Introduction by Ann Parker - President of Creekside WI
"Welcome to Creekside WI, we are a large group of like minded women who enjoy meeting on a regular monthly basis.
We have just enjoyed our 50th anniversary year celebration with a wonderful meal held at our local eatery, two of our founder members were able to enjoy the celebration with us.
We also fund raised for a bench to be placed at Wootton Railway Station enabling residents and visitors to enjoy a rest and watch the trains pulling into the station.
At our monthly meetings we have a variety of speakers, either giving a hands on demonstration, slide show or an interesting talk on their special subject. We also enjoy afternoon tea, garden visits or on occasions a mainland visit, again on a monthy basis.
Some of the activities that are enjoyed by members each month are ten pin bowling, kurling, a book club, games afternoon, rambling, and a lunch club.
If you would like to come along to one of our monthly meetings you will be made very welcome. We invite you to attend three times just to give us a try, and then, if you would like to register for a full membership.
Do check out our wonderful website, where you will find all the information on our WI.
All at Creekside would be pleased to see you on the second Wednesday of the month, except for August when we take a break. Meetings are held at 7:15pm at Wootton Methodist Church in Station Road.
Do come along and give us a try or drop us a line".
